Polish Grenadiers

Next up, a battalion of combined Polish grenadiers from the army of the Duchy of Warsaw, 1809.  The 15mm figures are by Essex miniatures.

General Jozef Poniatowski, Commander in Chief of the Duchy of Warsaw

Painting up some units for a refight of the Battle of Raszyn (1809) using Shako rules, the Polish commander of the forces of the Duchy of Warsaw was General Jozef Poniatowski.  Napoleon made him a Marshal in 1813, shortly before his death in October of that year at the Battle of Leipzig.  The figures are by AB Miniatures.
